What is a drone roof inspection?+
It is a high-resolution visual check of accessible external roof areas using a camera drone. You receive organised images, or an annotated condition report when that service is selected.
What can the inspection show?+
The imagery can record visible concerns such as displaced or cracked coverings, open flashing, deteriorated pointing, blocked gutters and damage around roof junctions. It cannot confirm concealed defects or the cause of an internal leak on imagery alone.
How much does a domestic inspection cost?+
A targeted check of one concern is £49, a domestic roof image pack is £69, and the annotated domestic visual condition report including images is £99. Large or complex properties start from £129.
Does the service include thermal imaging?+
No. Wirral Drone Services currently provides high-resolution visual imagery and annotated visual condition reports, not thermal imaging.
Does a drone inspection replace a roofer or building surveyor?+
No. It provides clear visual evidence to help you understand what is visible and brief an appropriate contractor. It does not replace hands-on investigation, structural assessment or specialist diagnosis where those are required.
Can the drone fly in any weather?+
Flights remain subject to safe weather, airspace restrictions, property access and the surrounding environment. If conditions are unsuitable, the inspection is rearranged.
